Common sense to improve the service life of the skeleton oil seal

The effect of the skeleton seal is generally protected by the parts that must be lubricated in the transmission parts and the export parts to prevent the leakage of grease. Generally, the rotating shaft used for oil sealing is the lip seal of the rotating shaft. Like steel bars in concrete engineering, the frame acts as a reinforcement to maintain the shape and tension of the oil seal. According to the type of frame, it can be divided into inner skeleton seal, outer skeleton seal and outer skeleton oil seal. The oil seal is made of nitrile butadiene rubber and steel plate with stable quality and long service life. Widely used in automobile, motorcycle crankshaft, camshaft, transfer box, shock absorber, engine, bridge, front wheel and so on.

To make reasonable use of the skeleton seal, please note the following points.

1) Due to design and construction reasons, high-speed rotating shaft uses high-speed oil seal, low-speed oil seal, low-speed oil seal can not be used for high-speed shaft. The opposite is also true.

(2) When the ambient temperature is high, please use acrylic emulsion or silicon, fluorine, silicone. Please reduce the oil temperature in the tank. Use cold resistant rubber when the application temperature is too low.

(3) The ability of the general pressure oil seal to bear pressure is low, and the oil seal will be deformed when the pressure is too large. If the pressure is too high, use the compression support ring or strengthen the compression oil seal.

(4) If the eccentricity of the oil seal and the shaft chimera is too large, the sealing characteristics will decrease, especially when the shaft speed is high. If the eccentricity is too large, please use "w" section oil seal.

(5) The surface roughness of the shaft is directly related to the service life of the oil seal. In other words, the higher the roughness of the shaft, the longer the service life of the oil seal.

(6) Pay attention to the oil seal lip must be a certain amount of grease.

(7) Be careful not to let dust into the oil seal.
