Whether alcohol has a corrosive effect on the sealing ring

Can we use silicone rubber seals to seal alcohol liquids? Does alcohol corrode silicone rubber seals? Silicone rubber seals are used to seal the alcohol and do not react with each other.

Silicone rubber sealing ring is introduced as a highly active adsorption material. Silica gel is a highly active adsorption material, usually containing sodium silicate and sulfuric acid, and it is made through a series of post-treatment processes, such as aging and acid bubbles. Silica gel is an amorphous substance, insoluble in water and any solvent, non-toxic and tasteless, chemically stable, and does not react with any substance other than strong alkali and hydrofluoric acid. Alcohol is a colorless, transparent, volatile, flammable and non-conductive liquid. When the alcohol concentration is 70%, it has a strong killing effect on bacteria. Therefore, for some medical silicone rubber seals that only have FDA approval, they are generally disinfected and stored at high temperatures with alcohol or saline.

It can be seen that alcohol will not corrode the silicone rubber sealing ring and will not cause any damage to the silicone rubber sealing ring.
