1. Seal the oil leak. Seal failure is the main cause of oil leakage. There is no obvious damage to the seal and the oil leakage is mainly caused by the improper size of the sealing groove and the seal itself, and the interference is not enough, and the temperature range of the seal is beyond the use. Insufficient initial interference of seals is the main reason of low pressure leakage. The cause of high pressure leakage is that in addition to the improper sealing groove, it may also be the result of the insufficient axial clearance between the sealing groove and the seal. In this type of seal, a little gap must be left in order to ensure full pressure. Insufficient axial clearance may be caused by too small trench size or too large axial size of seals.

2. Damage to the seal itself. It is mainly caused by fluid contamination, overload, unqualified groove size and unqualified seal mounting surface, unqualified seal quality, and use outside the pressure and temperature range allowed by the seal material. High temperature can soften the seals and greatly reduce their wear resistance, which is manifested as smooth and shiny grinding surface. The entry of pollutants is of course one of the main causes of seal wear strain, because the friction is very large at this time. Seal itself damage, the main form of damage for wear, extrusion rupture and compression long deformation.

3. Crawling and other phenomena are caused by improper sealing.

The reasons for the common failure of the above three kinds of seals are more complex, caused by the seals themselves, but also by other reasons mainly according to the actual situation to diagnose.

If the sealing ring is leaked on the installation, we need to start from the following three aspects:

Check whether the assembly method is wrong.

Check whether the seal end face is correct.

Check whether the seal end face is damaged.

If the sealing ring is suddenly leaked in operation, the following aspects should be checked at this time:

Check the wear of the seal end face and the change of surface quality to see whether it has been damaged.

Check whether the installation position of the sealing ring is correct and whether there is damage.

Check whether solid impurities are mixed into the sealed cavity.

Check whether there is sealing liquid circulation in the sealing cavity and whether the sealing parts are in dry friction.
