1. Sealing method: static sealing and dynamic sealing are divided into different loads. According to the use of the seal, it can be divided into rotary seal, hole seal and shaft seal, and can be divided into axial equipment and radial equipment according to the installation method.
2. Working materials and working environment: the compatibility of the medium must be considered, as well as sealing pressure, temperature, continuous running time, operating cycle and other factors. If the place where the seal is used is the place of rotation, also consider the heating conditions generated by friction heat.
3. Preload: generally installed in the pipe groove. In order to ensure the sealing effect, the original twisting amount should be maintained, but pay attention to different use scenarios, the pre-tightening amount is different.
4. Stretching and shrinking: the stretching and shrinking values should be appropriate, not too large or too small. If the stretch and shrink values are too large, the cross section of the seal may increase or decrease too much. Once stretched by 1%, the cross-section diameter will be reduced by 0.5%.
Long-term shrinkage deformation: Under the influence of pressure, the seal will also undergo elastic deformation. In order to avoid long-term deformation, the shrinkage of the sealing ring should be maintained between 20% and 30%.
Hardness: Hardness depends on the amount of shrinkage and pipe extrusion clearance, and is a key factor in measuring sealing performance.
